I put on rain pants and a waterproof jacket, and brought a cushion, and sat on a bench at an outdoor soccer field, or soccer stadium for two hours watching Tony play—in the pouring rain, umbrella in hand.
And you know what? I was totally fine with it. And, actually, it was pretty enjoyable. Never in a million years would that have happened before. 😆
And I used to wonder why a lot of people here don’t bother with umbrellas, no matter how hard it’s raining. I just didn’t get it. But now? Yep, I’m one of them—walking around in the rain with no umbrella. Sometimes I even take Annie, my dog, for her walk in the rain without one too.😅
If I did that in Japan, people would probably think I’m a total weirdo… but after 33 years in Canada, I’ve finally realized I’ve picked up some Canadian-ness. It only took me 30 years!
And it makes me wonder… what else will I pick up in the next 10 years 😆 Maybe I’ll be walking around in shorts in the snow someday 😆😆
